The benefits of going out on loan were evident for East Stirling players as two will be coming back ASAP for the first team.

East Stirling have been without a game for five weeks but managed to get a game on Sunday afternoon with a friendly against junior side Forfar West End. Some of the opposition looked familiar and two particularly caught the eye of East Stirling head coach Jim McInally. The pair shining for Forfar were his own players who are on loan to the Junior side.
McInally said: "I was glad we had the chance to play because there were cobwebs that needed to be blown away. It was a good work-out and it showed just how badly we required the chance to get out on a full-size pitch and play a game. Their two best players were Scott Johnstone and Grant Lawson who we loaned to them earlier this season and I am looking forward to them coming back once West End’s run in the Junior Cup comes to an end."
