Gordon Lennon died a year ago but he and the familiy he left behind have not been forgotten.

Dumbarton captain Gordon Lennon died  in tragic circumstances last summer and the Memorial fund has collected £20,000 so far and it does look to have peaked just yet. There is still a memorial dinner due to take place, held at the home of one of his former clubs, Partick Thistle, on Sunday, 23 May with Motherwell manager and former Scotland manager Craig Brown, former grade one referee Kenny Clark and comedian Patrick Rolink turning out to provide the entertainment.

Fund Chairperson Robert Ryan said: "The committee are conscious of the tremendous contribution that supporters have already made to the Guido fund and I would like to take this opportunity of thanking them for their generosity in helping to raise nearly £20,000 so far for his partner Kelly and young son Kai."
