Still Willing To Lend A Hand

By Ed_ScottishFitba
Sunday, 7th February 2010
Football daft Casba Laszlo is still in love with Hearts and would go back to help his successor at the drop of a hat.

Csaba Laszlo is not a bitter man and his sacking from Hearts has not diminished his love for the Edinburgh side. He could well be the man sitting next to you when you visit Tynecastle as he plans to carry on supporting the Jam Tarts from the stands. The Romanian-born Hungarian might as well enjoy himself and he could well be in for a long haul to agree compensation with the club over the final 18 months of his contract. It has been reported that Hearts will attempt to avoid paying out anything by claiming his outbursts about the club's transfer policy and tendency to tout himself around for other jobs amounted to a breach of his terms of employment. His openness and outspoken nature is what ultimately led to majority shareholder Vladimir Romanov sacking him.

Laszlo said: "There is no bitterness from me. I wish Jim Jefferies all the best and my hope is that he can continue the work that I started and that he has at least as much success as I did. I love the club. In fact, if Hearts asked me tomorrow to go back and help them I would be happy to. I will be staying in Edinburgh for at least the next two years. There are several reasons for that but the main one is that it's time to put my family first. I have dragged them all over the world with me. Before we came here, we had two years in Uganda, four years in Germany and two and a half years in Hungary. You can usually tell whenever you finish a job whether the people hate you or love you. Since I left Hearts many people have come up to me and wished me luck, not just Hearts fans but supporters of Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen."
