Both Fallkirk and Dundee United need to stabalise after speculation over who is staying and who is going.

Falkirk welcome Dundee United today and will also have four players back for the game after they missed out on Monday night's Scottish Cup defeat to Kilmarnock. Recent signings Enoch Showunmi and Colin Healy, who missed out due to red tape, and Darren Barr and Carl Finnigan are back from suspension and are expected to be back in Eddie May's starting line up. Only Tam Scobbie (pelvis) and Mark Stewart (groin) are sidelined. Meanwhile, Falkirk manager May is convinced skipper Darren Barr will stick with the Bairns and lead them away from relegation trouble. The defender is out of contract at the end of the season and has been wooed by a number of teams with a view to agreeing a pre-contract. Aberdeen, Dundee and Hearts have all shown their hand regarding signing the Scotland international, either during the current transfer window or in the summer. But May insists that Hibs are the only Scottish team who could come up with the money to convince the defender to sign before the February 1 deadline.
Speaking ahead of today's game, May said: "I don't think Darren Barr is a difficult situation, because somebody will need to go and pay money. Aberdeen have said on record that they've got no money, Dundee are in the division below, which will be a hard sell for them, and I don't think Hearts have got any money. So, it's really down to whether Hibs want to pay money - and Darren would have to go and agree personal terms, which he's never done. It's been on-going for probably the last three weeks for them to agree personal terms, so I don't think Darren will be leaving this football club, to go to another team in Scotland anyway. It would be a major surprise if he goes. Even with everything that's been going on, I think he's played extremely well for us and nobody can ever accuse him of not trying. Darren's the kind of character who will do the right things. With certain other guys you might encourage them to go but Darren's certainly not one of them. He's proven that ever since the window has been opened and since the start of the season."
Dundee United acting manager Houston will welcome back David Robertson into contention for today's game. The midfielder took a knock against Hamilton and missed Saturday's win against Hibs but has since recovered. David Goodwillie and Danny Swanson have both shaken off minor knocks but Francisco Sandaza (groin), Lee Wilkie (knee), Danny Cadamarteri (calf) and Scott Robertson (groin) will all miss out on the action.
Dundee United captain Andy Webster arranged a clear-the-air meeting to help the players get over the shock of Craig Levein's leaving for the national manager's post. The squad were unsettled over speculation over Levein's future ever since Craig Burley was relieved of his duties as national manager. Things went down hill when Levein finally moved to his new Hampden office. A SPL draw with Kilmarnock was followed by a 7-1 defeat away to Rangers before a home defeat to Aberdeen. While Webster may only be on loan from Ibrox but he cares about his work enough to know they had to stop the rot. He called all the players together in a bid to get to the root of their problems. The Scotland international knows from his own experience what it is like to lose a manager but reckons the United squad are all now looking forward rather than back.
Webster said: "I arranged the meeting for the boys to have a chat. I was a young boy at Hearts when the manager left and sometimes it can be difficult knowing how to deal with it. Craig Levein brought the majority of players into this football club and they, in turn, have a massive loyalty and respect towards him. So when things change - like being up in the air when nobody knows who's coming in - there can be an uncertainty that shouldn't affect you when you go onto the pitch but, for some of the younger players, it possibly did. Things just come with experience. The longer you've played the game, the more you realise how things work and I think the last week or so has been good for us - we've turned the corner. It just shows you because we weren't playing particularly well up until the Scottish Cup game with Partick Thistle but things have taken off since then with two more wins over Hamilton and Hibs. A week's a long time in football and, in this case, it's certainly true. Now it's just a case of trying to keep that momentum going."
