Barcelona have a poor record against Dundee United that they hope to improve on this Thursday night.

New recruit could make a difference
Barcelona's Andres Iniesta admits he and his team mateshad no idea Dundee United hold such an impressive unbeaten record over the Catalan side. However, they will be going all out to end that 100% record on Thursday when the two sides meet again, this time in a pre-season friendly at Tannadice. United beat Barcelona home and away in the Fairs Cup back in season 1966-67, before repeating the same feat in the UEFA Cup 20 years later. The visitors are relaxing at their training base at St Andrews ahead of a summer tour which also sees them take on Hearts this week. Iniesta outlined the importance of starting as they mean to go on - and that means getting a win over their Scottish hosts. He admitted: "We don't know much about these teams. We have some general information but we don't really know about the individual players. I am sure we will be informed by the coach before the games. Even though this is a pre-season match, we take it very seriously because this will show us how to win. The main objective is to get prepared for the new season, which will be a really demanding one for us. It's important to have a good pre-season and have strength for the new season. Our only aim is to win."

Having lost out to Real Madrid in La Liga, as well as failing to win in the Champions League last season, Iniesta is well aware the pressure is on for the season ahead. But he believes new recruits - such as former Arsenal star Thierry Henry - can make all the difference to their hopes of success this time around. He said: "
After one year without titles, there will be pressure on us. But the pressure is always there. It's a challenge. The new signings will be important and will bring new things to the club."

And Iniesta insists he will also be there to play his part despite being linked with a £40.25 million move to Real Madrid.  Having previously failed to make a first-team place his own at the Nou Camp, the Spanish international believes he finally made the breakthrough last season and insists he is going nowhere. He said: "
Last season was very important on a personal level, I was very satisfied but I want to improve. My only interest is to play for Barcelona - I want to stay at the club for a long time."
