A strenuous fixture list should see Elgin ready for the new season with the club testing themselves against both Kilmarnock and Aberdeen among others.
Elgin City have set up their pre-season friendlies for next month which includes a mini tournament. They kick-off against Aberdeen on 9th July at 2pm. Fans heading to that game should not worry about missing the World Cup final at it will be shown live later at 7pm in Elgin's Social Club on a big screen. Next up is their old rivals Caley Thistle, on Wednesday 12th July at 7.45pm. The mini-tournament mentioned above is for the Ennstone Challenge Cup, with Elgin, Kilmarnock, Ross County and Inverurie Locos vying for the trophy. 15th July sees the double header of Elgin v Kilmarnock at 2pm, followed by Ross County v Inverurie Locos at 4pm - two games for the price of one! Sunday the 16th sees another double header with the two beaten sides competing for the Runners-up plate at 1pm, with the two winning sides playing for the cup.
The highland fun does not end there. Elgin will be playing Peterhead on Saturday 22nd July at 3pm and Livingston on Monday 24th July with both fixtures played at home. The final friendly game before the season gets underway is away to Buckie Thistle on the 29th July, kick off time likely to be 2pm. |
