Vladimir Romanov has set a Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time limited target for Hearts next season. Guess who will be the first to go if it all goes wrong.

Plenty to think about
Hearts head coach Valdas Ivanauskas ahs been set quite a target in his first year as confirmed manager of the club. Vladimir Romanov is expecting him to deliver the SPL title next season. That's a tall order for anybody especially when that is also Rangers new manager Paul Le Guen's first season target. Ivanauskas has also a minor secondary target set by Hearts owner Romanov, that of securing the club's place in the group stages of the Champions League.

Ivanauskas was handed the post on a permanent basis on Friday when Romanov said: "To compensate for his lack of experience, I have invited Eduard (Malofeev) to work with him. They are tasked, together with John McGlynn, to win the SPL and reach the group stages of the Champions League. Valdas was very effective in running the team at the end of the season. Everything went smoothly and we won the Scottish Cup. The team accepted Valdas and got used to him." Former Belarus manager Malofeev has been brought in as sporting director, while McGlynn remains at Tynecastle as part of the backroom staff.
