Old heads get together to show the lads at Brechin how things should be done.
Former Albion Rovers boss Kevin McAllister has agreed to take up the post vacated by Gareth Evans as Michael O'Neill's assistant at Brechin City. McAllister (AKA Crunchie) and O'Neill know each other well from their time as team-mates at Hibs. Since leaving Cliftonhill in 2005, McAllister has been acting as a scout for Chelsea in Scotland.
O'Neill said: "Kevin is a top class coach and a first class guy who brings a wealth of experience in the game. Kevin also has the advantage of having already had a spell in part-time football with Albion Rovers, as well as working more recently at the top level for Chelsea as their scout in Scotland. He met the players for the first time on Saturday and was very well received by the lads. I think he has a great contribution to make here at Glebe Park and the committee and I are absolutely delighted to have someone with his experience as part of our coaching set-up." | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)
