Players wanting away from a club should think long and hard before they speak to the papers about their plight. They can end up being rather embarassed
Motherwell manager Maurice Malpas in ever hopeful that striker Scott McDonald will still be a Motherwell player when the new season gets underway on 5th August. McDonald has handed in a transfer request at Fir Park, but Malpas says that so far no offers have come in for the dis-contented Australian.
Malpas said: "We have not received any offers for players currently at Fir Park. In regards to Scott, we have spoken to him and told him exactly what we expect from him this season. I fully expect him to be here next year and hopefully he will now do his talking on the park, rather than off it." |
