Peter Grant should know that Celtic do not allow players move on without getting good VFM.

| Celtic are reported to have turned down a £500,000 bid from Norwich City for goalkeeper David Marshall, according to the Norwich Evening News. Canaries manager Peter Grant is a known admirer of the young 'keeper and has identified him as a long-term replacement for Robert Green. Unfortunately for Grant, his club's offer appears to fall some way short of Celtic's valuation of Marshall.
City chief executive Neil Doncaster is refusing to confirm that the bid has been rejected and told the media: "As and when we've got something positive to report we will do so. Some other clubs like to talk about what they are or are not going to do. We would rather do business privately. We understand a number of supporters find that stance frustrating, but we believe it's in the best interests of the club." | Editor Ger Harley (ger@scottishfitba net)
