St Mirren boss Gus MacPherson is not content with signing four players, he is still looking to bring in more.

St Mirren players are back at work and must be feeling the effects of the initial training session this morning. Manager Gus MacPherson wanted to get his squad used to the hard slog ahead. He said: "The players all reported back today in decent shape and we got what work we needed to do done. We gave the players a longer than normal training session to get them back into the swing of things but for the rest of the week it will be double sessions. We trained at Bellahouston Park today which was fine but we're trying to plan ahead which is difficult as places to train aren't easy to find."

The regulars were joined by former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international Henry McStay who has arrived for e a few days trial. The former Leeds trainee has also played for Halifax and Portadown and had a trial spell with Aberdeen two years ago. The centre-back will be hoping to join Craig Dargo, Mark Howard, Will Haining and Gary Mason in signing contracts with the Buddies. MacPherson said: "
We'll have ex-Leeds United and Halifax player Henry McStay with us for a couple of days. He'll be here for us to have a look at him over a few training sessions."
