Players can have ambitions to move on to bigger clubs but you have to be wanted for that to happen.

Sol Bamba has so far failed to attract any interest in his services to allow him to leave Dunfermline. Manager Stephen Kenny is happy to see the Frenchman stay as he is still very much part of his plans as he plots the way to get the club back into the SPL. Bamba moved from Paris St Germain last season and was one to watch despite the Pars losing their top-flight place. Kenny said: "
Sol is under contract to the club and that is the way it is. He had visions of moving to bigger things. But, to be honest, we have not had any offers and he has a number of agents representing him."

Like most players, Babma is keen to represent his country but he believes he can only make headway in the ambition if he finds a new club. Kenny said: "
I am not sure what kind of advice he is getting, but from my point of view I need people committed. If you are indifferent with your commitment going forward, that affects the whole collective effort. You need people who are willing to pull in the one direction to win games." That is not to say that Kenny doubts Bamba's abilities. He was full of praise for the Frenchman for his performance in Thursday's 2-1 win over Nottingham Forest at East End Park. Kenny went on: "He is a good player, Sol. He had it in his mind he would be leaving by now. Nothing has happened. You never know with these things."
