While players take a well earned rest from the routine of training and playing, management teams all over the country will be still hard at work getting ready for next season.

The season is barely over for Cowdenbeath but they are already working hard to improve their squad for season 2007-08. Manager Brian Welsh has already managed to secure three new signings but is still on the look out for more new faces. He said: "
I have identified the players I would like to bring to Central Park and talks are ongoing. They are quality footballers with an excellent pedigree so we will be doing out best to secure their services. I am happy with the way the squad is shaping up. We have retained a core of very good players from last season but I am looking for a squad of 18-20 players so there will be several more new players in addition to the arrival of Andy Howat, Chris Anton and Mick Galloway."

The new faces will hopefully join up with the rest of the squad when pre-season training starts on 9th June. Welsh is busy finalising their pre-season games which will include a home game against Bristol Rovers and a two game Highland tour. Welsh explained: "
The players will start back 3 weeks earlier than usual. This will give them a head start and the opportunity to really build up their fitness before the friendlies get under way. The boys are raring to go and desperate to build on the success of last season."
