Rangers squad will have a different make-up by the time the season starts as Paul Le Guen wants to mould his own team.

Changes required
Rangers fans can expect to see more players leave the club before new faces arrive. New manager Paul Le Guen has already seen the departure of Sotirios Kyrgiakos Peter Lovenkrands, Alex Rae and Ronald Waterreus over the last month. Marvin Andrews, Olivier Bernard and Bob Malcolm aresaid to be favourites to be heading towards the door next and although not naming names, Le Guen confirmed there will be more departures. He diplomatically said: "It would be better for them to leave the club because I don't want to have too many players. We will see what happens."

Lovenkrands and Waterreus both rejected chances to stay with the club as part of the Frenchman's revolution. But Kyrgiakos was the first to be told he no longer had a future at the club. Fringe player Rae read the writing on the wall and took over as player-manager at First Division club Dundee. Le Guen, who has already signed Lionel Letizi, Libor Sionko and Karl Svensson, is on the hunt for more new players but is keen to trim his current squad even further.
